Exact solution of BFKL equation in jet-physics

چکیده
It has been recently found that the heavy quark-antiquarkQQ̄ pair multiplicity, in certain phase space region (QQ̄ at short distance, soft and with small velocity), satisfies an evolution equation formally similar to the BFKL equation for the high energy scattering amplitude. We find the exact solution of the QQ̄-equation and discuss the differences with the BFKL scattering amplitude

Progress Towards a Generator for BFKL Physics
In certain regions of phase space in jet production, large logarithms can arise which are resummed by the BFKL equation. Linear colliders can potentially be excellent places to study BFKL effects in jet production. We discuss an approach to BFKL calculations which incorporates kinematic effects explicitly and can be implemented in an event generator.
متن کاملStatus of the BFKL Resummation Program
Early last year, after many years of hard work involving many participants, Fadin and Lipatov [1] presented the NLL corrections to the BFKL equation. Since then, there has been much lively discussion of the interpretation of these corrections. In this talk I will discuss some of the results of this activity. I will not address phenomenology here, but some applications of the BFKL resummation ar...
متن کاملGeometrical scaling solution to the BFKL Pomeron Calculus in the saturation domain
In this paper the exact analytical solution is found for the BFKL Pomeron calculus in QCD , in which all Pomeron loops have been included. This solution manifests the geometrical scaling behaviour and matches with the solution to the linear evolution equation on the line r2 = 1/Qs(x) where r is the dipole size and Qs is the saturation momentum.
متن کاملA Monte Carlo Solution to the BFKL Equation
A simple solution to the BFKL equation is obtained as a series in the number of real gluons emitted with transverse momentum greater than some small cutoff μ. This solution reveals physics inside the BFKL ladder which is hidden in the standard inclusive solution, and lends itself to a straightforward Monte Carlo implementation. With this approach one can explore new useful physical observables,...
متن کاملPhenomenology of Jet Physics in the Bfkl Formalism at Nlo
We study jet physics in the high energy regime of QCD. Based on the NLO BFKL equation, we construct a vertex for the production of a jet at central rapidity in kT -factorization. A jet algorithm is introduced, and we take special care of the separation of multi-Regge and quasi-multi-Regge kinematics. The connection with the energy scale of the evolution is investigated in detail. The result is ...
